Week Two.

Week two.

Starting off a Monday morning with spreadsheets, cash flows and profit and loss statements is my idea of hell.  Happily I wasn’t the only one that had some stress with the number crunching part – I like to share my misery.

Luckily lunch made Monday much better and a discussion with Prof Karen Ayas about leadership perked me up for the afternoon.

Lunch - relatively healthy (there will be no photos of my pudding adventures!)
So what makes a great leader? That’s the question of the week.   I’ve still not discovered the answer but I have learnt a few things about me thanks to the MBIT profiling we completed.  Scary how accurate it was about me - difficulty with details and I have a tendency to leave things until the last minute…

We also explored ethics, and I realised that I’m not as ethical as I would like to think I am.  Perhaps I should have a chat with my very ethical friend Helen in Orkney.

The sun has been shining here in Boston, so that has been lovely.  It was the perfect day to take the picture of MacD and the Aberdeen Road sign. (I think it has something to do with football?)

MacD!

So at the end of two days I have lots to think about.  And even more stuff to read for tomorrow, but that can wait until the first episode of Glee season 2 has finished. Oh and I still have more cheese and wine to finish.
